Prayer focus for December 29, 2012-January 4, 2013
I always pray about what to pray about. I feel that God best knows the needs of the Township and what we should be praying for. Today I felt that we should pray that the people, both privately and publicly, be in proper positioning, placement and preparation. That we focus on these groups:
Residents
Schools
Churches
Businesses
Government
I pray the people in these five groups be properly positioned, placed and prepared as the Lord desires for each one.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 says that we should offer petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all men-for all who are in positions of authority so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
I pray the residents, families, parents, children turn to the Lord to honor and worship Him.
That the schools be filled with peace so children can grow and develop in their God-given gifts.
That the pastors recognize the gifts in the people sent to them and they become places of refuge and answers.
That the businesses recognize their purpose and calling and do business honestly and with great joy.
That the governmental leaders and staff be properly positioned and prepared to protect and serve the people and work to build the Kingdom of God.
Let us recognize that the children and youth are our future. Let there be a township wide spontaneous awakening amongst the children and youth that carries on for years to come!

December 22, 2012 -Marvelous Salvation
Prayer focus for December 22-28, 2012
We can't expect anyone to love and honor the Lord Jesus Christ and celebrate His birth without first having received His love. We love Him because He first loved us. I pray that the people of Waterford have a revelation of the love that God has towards them. I pray they have an awakening to His existence, His sovereignty and His love. That they find hope in this and salvation in Jesus Christ and as a result, that they honor Him and celebrate His coming which brought the hope of our salvation.
I pray for the salvation of Waterford. That whatever pain people are experiencing--addiction, family troubles, financial problems, health issues, depression etc.-- that people realize that in Jesus there is a solution to every problem, deliverance from every trap and freedom, life, love, health and peace.
The deeper the pain, the greater they will rejoice because He brings deliverance and great joy. I pray we cast our cares on Him, realizing how much He cares for us.
One of the things I prayed for this past week for Newtown Connecticut after the school shooting was that they be comforted by the Lord and in turn eventually be able to comfort others with this same comfort. I pray that for Waterford too, that people realize they can cry out to Him in their times of troubles. That they look to Him for deliverance and salvation. That they receive His comfort and eventually be able to comfort others themselves.
This week I was reminded of a dream I had in which a wave began rising out of Elizabeth Lake. I was standing on the street called Marvel Place watching it. And then it became such a huge wave that it overtook the whole earth. As it washed over me it was an experience beyond words, but I knew it was the Spirit of God. This week I kept thinking about the word "Marvel." According to the Noah Webster 1828 dictionary it means, "A wonder; that which arrests the attention and causes a person to stand or gaze, or to pause." Also, "Wonder; admiration." I believe the Lord wants to rise up in Waterford and do great things. Things that are from the Spirit of God and are a marvel. Waterford--be a place of marvel!

December 15, 2012-Don't Trust in Facades
Prayer focus for the week of Dec. 15-Dec. 21, 2012
In light of the school shooting at the elementary school in Connecticut yesterday, it stirs our hearts to continue to pray for our kids here in Waterford. It makes us want to do all we can to protect these kids and we should. But we need to remember that the safest place to be is under the protection of our Lord.
These are the days we need to keep Psalms 91 in our heart and at the forefront of our mind. When we say He is our refuge, our fortress and our God and that we trust in Him, He will deliver us. His TRUTH is our shield and buckler. Even if a thousand fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, we have His promise of protection when we heed what He says here.
Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. Psalm 91:14-16
During times of peace & prosperity we can end up putting our trust in the wrong things, things that are just facades and will not hold up during tough times. Our own security measures, our wealth, our intelligence and even our own "goodness" will not hold up. Only God can protect us. His truth is our shield and buckler. By setting our love on Him He sets us on high, meaning in a safe place.
Let's pray this week not only for the healing of the families and community in Newtown, but also that what the enemy meant for evil, God turns around for good and the hearts of school staff, teachers, parents and kids everywhere, here in Waterford as well, turn to the Lord for His truth, His love, His guidance and protection.

December 9, 2012 - The Ford of Waterford
Prayer focus for December 9-14, 2012
Father God, I pray for the Township Supervisor, Gary Wall, and all of the board members and trustees, as well as all those in decision making positions over Waterford Township. Including county leaders, state and federal leaders. I pray You give them wisdom and guide their decisions. I pray that Waterford Township fulfills that which You've called her to do. That Your kingdom be built.
A ford is a shallow place in a body of water where people can cross over. There are a lot of travelers and visitors that go through Waterford. Because of the airport and M59 there are people that visit and travel through. God help us to show Your love and hospitality to people as they visit and travel through this Township. Let Your people rise up as those who are a safe refuge and place of refreshing to others. Protect our infrastructure. Keep safe our water and sewer systems, our natural gas and electric lines.
Father God, I pray for the Rolladium. I pray for a fresh refreshing wind of Your Spirit to blow through there. I pray it be a place for families and friends to gather and enjoy each other. That it be safe from all harm and fear of harm. God I pray for all those in the Township who are going through difficult times. That those who know You remain faithful to You and those who don't know You turn towards You. Let us learn from these difficult times and not develop resentments or bitterness. Let us grow in wisdom and love and get our priorities right. Help us to let go of all those things we need to let go of and focus on what is important and True.

December 1, 2012 -Hearts towards our Children
Prayer focus for December 1-7, 2012
Malachi 4:5-6: "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
We must make prayer for our children, families and educational system a top priority. Our children are our future. Parents and teachers have an extremely important job of training and teaching our kids. Before Jesus told Peter to "feed My lambs" He asked him if he loved Him. (John 21:15). Those who "feed" our children need to be those who love the Lord. Pray for those who are "feeding" the kids in your neighborhood 's homes and schools! Also, there are some changes being proposed regarding the State of Michigan public school system this month and we need to pray for God's hand to be involved in this.
I pray for all parents and grandparents and all those in positions of influence over our children. I pray for their hearts to turn towards the children. That our children rise to the level of priority You desire for them to be. That we give our children the time and attention they need. Forgive us for abandoning our children to go after money and possessions.
Father God, I pray You give wisdom to all those in decision making positions regarding our educational system in Waterford, the state of Michigan and federally. Influence them according to Your will and plan for our schools and our children. Let our educational system be patterned after Your heavenly plan. I pray for all teachers and educators in the educational system. I pray their hearts turn towards You. I pray all those who influence our children are influenced by You.
Father, I pray You give wisdom to Christian parents concerning private and home schools. Show us Your wisdom of whether to be salt and light in the public school system vs. protecting our children from the darkness of the world. I pray You send a flood of educators into the public school system who love You and stand for Your kingdom.
I pray for church leaders, children's pastors and teachers. I pray You anoint them with Your Holy Spirit to reach these kids for You. Give them a fresh fire and passion to reach kids for You. Give them all the resources they need to touch these kids hearts with Your life and love.
Father, raise up an army of children for You. Touch their hearts, wrap Your loving arms around them. Reveal Yourself to them. Pour out Your Spirit upon them. (Joel 2:28-29). Touch every child in our community.

November 24, 2012 - Your Kingdom Come
Prayer focus for November 24-December 1, 2012
God I pray that we learn to seek You for Your plans for our life and that we seek to build Your kingdom and not our own. That we don't just ask You to bless our plans, our ideas, our own kingdom that we think we need to build, but that we go after Your ways and plans for our lives.
Proverbs 3:6: In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
In every path-our family, our job, our church etc. let us seek Your wisdom, Your love, Your truth, Your guidance and direction. I pray the kids get a hold of this too and begin to seek Your ways in every path of theirs.
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
Everything is working together for good--no matter who was elected to various offices in the election--God will make everything work together for the good of His kingdom. We need to join with Him in working to build His kingdom. God help us to prioritize our lives according to Your will. Just as David received the plans for the temple from the Spirit of God, let us receive the plans for our temple--our lives--our hearts where You live--from Your Spirit.
Jesus said the Kingdom of God is within you. .(Luke 17:21). Let us look to the Spirit of God within us. God help us not to work to build the image we have in our mind, our own plans of what our life should be. But let us look to You, to Your Holy Spirit within us and prioritize our lives in such a way that we are building according to Your plans.
Psalms 127:1: Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it...
Let's quit wasting time doing our own thing! Let His kingdom come, let His will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven! Matthew 6:10.

November 17, 2012 - High Praises/Two Edged Sword
Prayer focus for the week of Nov. 17-Nov. 23, 2012
Psalm 149:
Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, praise Him in the assembly of His saints! Let Israel rejoice in Him, their Maker; let Zion's children triumph and be joyful in their King! Let them praise His name in chorus and choir and with the [single or group] dance; let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre! For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation and adorn the wretched with victory. Let the saints be joyful in the glory and beauty [which God confers upon them]; let them sing for joy upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two-edged sword in their hands, To wreak venegeance upon the nations and chastisement upon the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron, To execute upon them the judgment written. He [the Lord] is the honor of all His saints. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) The Amplified Bible.
The twoedged sword is the Word of God, (Rev 1:16, Hebrews 4:12). God is calling His people to be armed with His Word in an attitude of worship and praise towards Him.
I pray the people of God rise up and praise Him, armed with His Word, knowing their authority given in the Name of Jesus. That we be wise as serpents and harmless ad doves. That lawlessness goes from Waterford and revival takes its place.
God is defending His people. There will be a judgment on those who are not His people, on those who refuse His ways. It's time we get as close to Him as we can, under His shadow of protection. I pray that God's people begin to say that He is their Lord, their refuge, their fortress, their God and in Him will they trust! (Psalm 91:2). As they do He will protect and deliver them!
The vengeance, chastisement, binding and judgment are for those who are rejecting the Lord. Deliverance and protection are for those who call Him Lord and God. Those who call Him their Protector. God, let us be clear in our choice to follow You in all we do. That there be no misunderstanding whose side we are on. Let your people follow You whole-heartedly with passion! Let Waterford rise up and be known as a place of refuge, a place where Your people reside. A place where evil does not befall us and no plague comes near our dwellings. Thank You Father for Your protection and deliverance!

November 10, 2012 - Wisdom for Leaders / Police Dept.
Prayer focus for the week of November 10-16, 2012
I pray for the newly elected leaders of Waterford, and all the leaders of the county, the state and the country. For all of their staff and advisors as well. I pray for wisdom and truth. That they seek God's wisdom and truth. That their hearts turn towards the Lord. That they work to build the kingdom of God and not a kingdom for themselves. I pray they are touched by the Spirit of God, drawn to Him and that their eyes are opened, their ears unblocked and their hearts unveiled so they may clearly see the Way, the Truth and the Life and that they follow Him in every decision they make.
We have a new Township Supervisor now, Gary Wall, and he has said that the first item on his agenda is the police and fire department. I pray he clearly see God's solution in this area. We desperately need to pray for our police department. There has been a downward spiral going on for a while now. They haven't been able to get a police millage passed in quite a long time. Some of this may be because of economic reasons but some of this might be because the relationship between the police department and the residents hasn't been as good as it could be. The police now have to serve and protect the very ones that have voted against giving them the resources they need to do their job well. This could very well leave a bitter taste in their mouth and this is not the first time this has happened. We need to pray that the residents recognize this and become able and willing to support the department, and that the department resolve to do their best with what they have and not become, (or remain), bitter against the people. Jesus had to die for the very ones that were crucifying Him and this is the position our police officers are in now. In addition to our prayers, any way we can show them our support would help to re-build this relationship and do away with an "us vs them" attitude on both sides.

November 3, 2012 -Our Refuge & King
Prayer focus for November 3-10, 2012
I've felt impressed to pray for the safety and protection of the infrastructure of the Township, specifically the water and natural gas systems. I also think each family, church etc. should look at their own "infrastructure" and think about back-up plans in times of emergency.
I pray Psalms 91 over the Township--that we dwell in the secret place of the Most High so we can abide under the shadow of the Almighty. That we say of the Lord, He is my refuge and fortress, my God, and in Him will I trust. I thank God for His protection. That because we set our love upon Him He delivers us, sets us on high--in the safe place. That He is with us, delivers us and even honors us. That He satisfy's us with long life and shows us His salvation.
I also pray that the people of the Township don't compare or identify with the cities and townships around us. That we don't look to those who seem to be wealthier and look down on ourselves. That we don't look to those who seem to be troubled and identify with them. Just as the Israelites looked to the nations around them who had kings and decided they wanted a king instead of God's way, I pray that we don't look to the communities around us to identify with or judge ourselves by. (1 Samuel 8). God has a plan for this community. I pray we discover the wealth of this land He's placed us in--the gifts and talents and hidden secrets of Waterford that make us unique. Not so we can be arrogant, but so that we can fulfill the purpose of this land and our own individual God-given purpose.
I also pray that there is truth, peace and faith over the next several days leading up to the election. That the heaven's are opened over our community so God's people can clearly see how to vote, and that they DO vote.
If anyone is looking for some help in making informed voting decisions then check out the Michigan Family Forum Voter Guide. You can get to if from this website by going to the Election Prayer page.

October 26, 2012 - Acknowledge & Be Still
Prayer focus for October 26-November 2, 2012
I'm posting this blog a day early since I will be at a conference all day tomorrow.
My prayer, Father God, is that all thoughts turn to You. That we acknowledge You in all our ways, in all our affairs--financially, socially and all the paths that we normally leave You out of. Guide us in every way Lord. Proverbs 3:6.
I pray for protection this upcoming week--physical protection and spiritually as well. Let us honor You, even during this Halloween week. I pray Psalm 91 over the Township. We come to Your secret place, under your shadow. Be our refuge and fortress. We trust in You!
Psalms 46:10: Be still and know that I am God. Before we start on a path, let us acknowledge Him and wait for Him. Instead of running off into several different directions, trying to run down several paths at once, we need to be still and let God show us which way to go. God show us what to do with our time.
Isaiah 55:12: For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace... Let peace lead. Don't rush. God I pray Your people be still, calm and full of peace now and throughout the upcoming season. That we are not impulsive in our decisions, in our spending. That we don't start this season off with a "sugar high" or a false energy that leads us to make quick and wrong decisions. Let us be mature in You and soak in Your presence, hearing Your voice clearly!

October 20, 2012 - The Roar of Worship
Prayer Focus for 10-20-12 to 10-27-12
God, let there be a roar of worship rise up from Waterford. Let our praise, our hunger our passion and cry for You rise up to the heavens as a roaring lion. Like the Lion of the tribe of Judah, let the sound of Waterford worship roar like a lion! Let it be loud! Let it be bold! Let it be full of passion and hunger for You! Let it come from the depths of our heart!
No matter what is going on around Your people, let them look to You, look to Jesus and roar out worship and praise to You. Let us get our eyes off of the things that would distract us from looking at You and listening to You.
Revelation 5:5, Proverbs 28:1

October 13, 2012 - Listen for the Sound
Prayer focus for October 13-19 2012
There's a sound from Waterford that God desires to hear--He longs for it. It's a sound indigenous to this land. It's a sound of worship. A sound of music. A sound of His people crying out to Him with abandonment. A sound of rejoicing in His goodness. A sound of dancing. A sound of celebration. A sound of singing over the revelation of His goodness, mercy, truth and love.
It's time for the victims to rise up. It's time for those who have been wronged, treated unfairly, even abused, to reach up to the heavens in worship and cry out to God. It's time for reverse racism to end. It's time for victims to let go, to forgive, to worship God, to let go of the desire for vengeance, retaliation, judgement, punishment, fairness or "rights." It's time to abandon all for Him--to let the anointing of the Spirit break the yoke of bitterness and resentment, to let the Spirit of the Lord come into our hearts and set us free.
The truth will make you free and the truth is that we are called to be like Jesus who, when He suffered wrongfully, committed Himself to the One who judges righteously. He didn't seek vengeance. He died for the sins of the very ones who were crucifying Him. This truth will set you free. It brings the anointing of the Spirit which breaks yokes of bondage and liberates you!
Let's seek Him wholeheartedly and produce the sound of worship that He longs to hear from the people in this land. Listen for the sound...
1 Peter 2: 19-23; Isaiah 10:27; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Hebrews 12:2-4, 15; John 8:32

October 6, 2012 - Sincere Motivations
Prayer focus for October 6-12, 2012
When we pray we release energy into the atmosphere. And we pray from our heart. Jesus said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So it's important we know the intents and motivations of our heart, because we want to release Holy Spirit energy when we pray and not anything from a selfish motivation or evil influence.
It's an ongoing process to examine our hearts and motives. God is continually working in us--enlightening us, delivering us, sanctifying us. Not only do we need to be free from the obvious things like pride, selfishness, envy, greed, etc. but also things like guilt & self-loathing. Those things are not to be confused with humility! We also need to know what effect emotional pain and hurt is having on us. All things are working together for our good! Even the people and circumstances that trouble us. As we worship and pray from a sincere and grateful heart even during tough times, the authority of our prayers increases. (See James 5:16-20).
During prayer today, I found myself doing some self-examination, asking God to cleanse my heart and open my eyes to those things I need to see about myself. I realized that being around an atmosphere of worship, by the true Spirit of God, (in Spirit and in Truth), has set me free from all kinds of deceptive thinking/influence that I wouldn't have seen any other way. We Christians have to be (continually) filled with the genuine Holy Spirit and not just "good" religious behavior!
My prayer is for all of the worship leaders in our churches to be influenced by the true Spirit of the living God to a greater degree than they currently are. To press in deeper to Him, to cry out for Him in a way they never have before. Also that the pastors do not become envious as the worship leaders rise up and flow in a greater depth of the Spirit. Pastors need to feel secure in the love of God and in their position in order for this to happen. And worship leaders can help by making sure their pastor knows they respect them. God, let there be no envy between these two positions! Let each one recognize their place and put the unity of the Spirit above individual calling.
Open the eyes of our heart Lord! Let true worship from a sincere heart rise up from Waterford as a fragrant offering that is pleasing to You!

September 29, 2012 - Send Your Words!
Prayer focus for September 29-October 5, 2012
God we pray for all of Your people in Waterford. We pray that we connect with You. That we learn to receive all we need to receive from You. If we can't connect with You, how can we lead others to You? Show us how to receive more of You!
In 1 Timothy 1:18, Paul tells Timothy that the prophecies which were given about Timothy could help him to wage a good warfare. When God gives us prophetic words, we can take those words as promises, as prayer guides, as guidance, as encouragement, to fight the good fight of faith and bring God's will to pass!
God, give us Your Words. Speak prophetic words to us that we can respond to. That we can be obedient to. That we can wage a good warfare by!
Let us see revival in the streets, in the businesses, the homes, the schools, the churches and even the government! Put things in motion for Waterford to become what You had in mind when You created this land. Let it and us reflect Your beauty and bring honor to You.
Let the restaurants be places of gathering in Your name. Let them serve healthy food and becomes places of both physical and spiritual nourishment.

September 22, 2012 - Supernatural Revelation of Truth
Prayer focus for September 22-28th, 2012
Prayer concerning the upcoming elections: Let the clouds of confusion, deceptions and distractions surrounding the upcoming elections dissipate and blow away. Let the people have clear vision and see the truth. Let them have supernatural insight, wisdom and discernment. Even God, if you have to give dreams to reveal the true motives and intentions then do it! Let there be no manipulation or deception. Let the motives of the candidates and issues become clear. That we just don't see the media face. Let the people know the truth of what they're voting for.
And as people see what they are in agreement with, let them search their heart. "Is this what I really believe? Is this what I've come to?" And as people are bothered by what's in their heart, let them fall on their face and repent and turn to the ways of the Kingdom of God. Let their be a Great Awakening as people see the truth.
Those people who will vote according to the ways of Your kingdom, let them have smooth paths to the voting booths. Let them be protected from all the things that would prevent them from voting. Let those who would vote contrary to Your kingdom have stumblingblocks to prevent them from voting. In Numbers 22 we read that Balaam was going to go curse God's people and God put the Angel of the Lord in his way so his donkey would not continue on the path. God, block the way of those whose actions and words would bring a curse on this land and on Your people. When Balaam finally did speak, he ended up blessing Israel and not cursing them like Balak wanted him to do. God, those people who continue to pursue paths that will curse this land and your people, let them end up bringing blessing in the end. Let them have a Great Awakening and turn their hearts towards you!
Your kingdom come, your will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord. Rev. 11:15
Let us look to You and honor You and walk in the ways of Your Spirit...The fruit of Your Spirit, which gives us the authority to advance Your kingdom in the earth.

Special Nugget--the gall of bitterness
I woke up today thinking of this Scripture and recent revelation from the Lord and I felt it wasn't just for me today so here it is...
In Acts 8 we read of Simon the sorcerer from Samaria. He had dazzled the people with his sorcery and then he, and the people of the city, heard the Gospel and became believers in Jesus Christ. Simon himself was amazed at the miracles and signs that Philip did. Then Peter and John came and prayed for the people to receive the Holy Spirit.
Now Simon saw that the people received the Holy Spirit when they laid their hands on them and he offered them money asking them to give him the power to do the same thing. Peter rebuked him for thinking that the gift of God could be purchased with money. He told him his heart was not right in the sight of God. He told him to repent and ask God to forgive him.
Now this is the part that I was reminded of today--Peter said in verse 23, "For I perceive that you are in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity." No longer could Simon dazzle the people with sorcery and he wanted the Holy Spirit. But his heart motives hadn't really changed. Peter could see that he was bitter. Bitterness opens the door for a counterfeit spirit that may appear to be genuine, but really isn't. If we want God to move among us in a genuine true way, the true, authentic, Holy Spirit and not just religious works or impressive signs that will dazzle people, then we need to be sure and remove all bitterness, resentments, criticisms, judgements, jealousies etc. from our heart.
The power of the Holy Spirit is motivated by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 12:15 tells us to watch diligently to see that no root of bitterness springs up and contaminates us. If you are in a position where people have given you opportunity to become bitter against them, or maybe against circumstances, then you have an amazing opportunity to pull out that root of bitterness that would try and spring up and get rid of it! As Rick Joyner says, don't waste your trials! When the opportunity to be resentful or critical is there, pull that thing out! As you overcome you open the door for the genuine Spirit of God to move on in!
In Luke 11:11-13 Jesus says that if we ask our Father for bread, fish or an egg, He will not give us a stone, a serpent or a scorpion. He will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. He will not give us a counterfeit!
So whether you are frustrated at people, annoyed, angry, resentful, or whatever it may be, it's not worth sacrificing the presence of the Spirit to hang on to those things. And rather then letting it annoy you, look at it as an opportunity to overcome, when you do the heaven's can be opened above you!

Semptember 14, 2012 - Seek His Face
Prayer focus for September 14-21, 2012
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said for us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else would be taken care of. My prayer for Waterford is that the people seek God above everything else. That they are not seeking after or pursuing things--possessions, money, prestige, or any of God's blessings--but God Himself. And His righteousness, which means Jesus Christ. I pray that people seek to come to a place of right-standing with God through the Way He has provided, which is faith in Jesus Christ.
Psalms 24 describes a generation of those who seek Him, who seek His face. And Psalms 27:4, 8 also describes seeking the Lord.
This a call to prayer for the intercessors and worshippers of Waterford Township and beyond. It's a call to pursue Him above all else and to prepare the way for others. Let's answer the call and pray for the heavens to be opened, the goodness of God to be revealed, and for the hearts of the people to turn to Him!

September 8, 2012 - A living well of water
Prayer focus for September 8-September 14, 2012
Jesus said that whoever drinks of the water the He gives shall never be thirsty again. But the water that He gives shall become a "spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto...eternal life." John 4:14 The Amplified Bible. He also said that whoever believes in Him then out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water, meaning the Holy Spirit. John 7:38-39.
What makes a place a well is the genuine Spirit of God. The water of life that Jesus gives brings eternal life to the believer and the Holy Spirit the believer receives from the Lord is like rivers of living water flowing from within them. Becoming a well from where living water flows doesn't mean being a place of religion, or good works. It's not a place where people are exalted and look good or impress others, but it's a place of true worship of the Living God. It's a place where all glory goes to Him. Jesus said the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself, He speaks from the heart of the Father and glorifies Jesus. John 16:13-14.
Let Waterford become a well of living water! Let it be a place where the true Spirit of the Living God moves. Let Him move upon the face of the waters of Waterford Township. We don't want a counterfeit, we want the Spirit of Truth! Jesus said to ask, seek and knock. He said if a son asks the Father for bread or fish or an egg, He will not give a stone, a serpent or a scorpion. The Father will give the Holy Spirit to His children who ask. He will not give us a counterfeit! Luke 11:9-13
It's time to worship the Lord and declare His goodness! In the places of drawing water, they shall rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord. Judges 5:11. Let's rehearse His righteous acts. Let's glorify Him in all we do! When going through tough times, make it a well. Make it a place of springs. Make it a place of worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. Psalms 84:6, John 4:24.
I pray God's people are stirred in their hearts to worship God no matter what is going on in their life. Let the petty things go. Let the bitterness, resentments, envy and criticisms go. Bitterness opens the door for a counterfeit spirit of God. It clogs the well because it's not of Love. Acts 8:9-23.
Send your rain, O God, to replenish our wells!

September 1, 2012 - Prayer for Schools / Not One Be Lost
Prayer for the Schools and more...
There are several Scriptures the Lord gave me as we pray for the schools and this upcoming school year. The children are our future and the Lord wants to get a hold of this generation. We can't neglect our children and young people! They have an important part to play in what God is going to do. The schools, churches, families and all that affect our young people needs a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit-a tangible touch from Him!
Psalms 2:8: Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance...
Humility-
We usually use this verse to say that we should ask God for the nations, but actually He is talking to the Christ. The King, His Son, whom, He is saying He will give the world to if He just asks. This psalm speaks of rulers who want to break the restraints of the Lord off of them. God laughs at this because He has placed His King in place. This psalm tells us to be wise, serve the Lord and kiss the Son.
As we pray for our leaders, we can pray for a heart change--humility and repentance before the Lord and tell the Lord Jesus Christ--the King of kings--that we surrender to Him and His authority, desiring for Him to take His place, asking for the nations.
2 Chronicles 20:17-22:
A Time of Worship & Prayer-
The Lord told them to stand still and see the salvation (deliverance) of the Lord concerning their upcoming battle. They put praisers, singers and worshippers, before the army and went out to battle. The Lord set ambushments against their enemies and they were defeated. We need to worship Him, kiss Him, serve Him. Worship comes first. What God wants to do in Waterford needs to be preceded with worship and prayer. God is raising up worshippers and intercessors now!
2 Kings 4:1-7:
A period of grace to ask for what we want, lay a strong foundation through prayer and worship-
The widow woman had 2 sons whom the creditors were going to take away as slaves if she didn't pay her debts. Elisha told her to go borrow vessels from her neighbors and go inside her home and shut the door with her sons. He told her not to borrow a few vessels, (in other words--get a lot!) He said to take the last pot of oil she had left and pour from it into the empty vessels. She did so and all the vessels were filled. When they had no more empty vessels the oil stopped flowing. She sold the oil and paid her debt. The amount of her blessing was determined by the amount of vessels she borrowed. We are in a time period right now where we are to be collecting empty vessels, (kind of like, sometimes you need to pray about what to pray about). We are in a period now where God is saying-what do you want? How much of Me do you want? How much do you want Me to do? We are laying a foundation now and it needs to be strong enough to handle the move of God that's coming or we'll all be swept away!
Acts 15:16-17:
Worship & pray to bring the presence of God, harvest of souls!
The tabernacle of David speaks of praise worship, singing, musicians, psalms, even 24 hour prayer and worship, ministering to the Lord. David's heart was always to have God's presence. God is rebuilding the tabernacle of David so the "rest of the men" or the "residue of men" might seek the Lord. When we worship Him after the pattern of the tabernacle of David it will bring in a harvest of souls. It will reach the unbelievers and turn hearts towards Him!
Joel 2:28:
Our children are not excluded, and those who are children today are our future-
Joel prophesied that in the last days God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh. That our sons and daughters would prophesy, our old men would dream dreams, our young men would see visions, that upon the menservants and maidservants He would pour out His Spirit and show signs in the heavens and earth before the return of Jesus Christ. Our kids are not excluded from this pouring out of His Spirit. We need to prepare for this. We need to be ready to teach them, to answer their questions, to instruct them in the ways of the Lord.
Spiritual tenure-
I believe there is a ten year period of time that began in 2011 where God's people have an opportunity to build a foundation and build a great dwelling place for our King of kings. These ten years will give us tenure--a type of spiritual authority through which God will be able to have His way through us. It's up to us how many vessels we will borrow. How empty will we get to allow room for His Spirit? Let's bring the tabernacle of David back. Let's worship Him 24/7. let it be our goal that not one be lost.
As we pray for the schools, our children and families, let's pray for protection, an atmosphere of love and encouragement in every classroom, that each child has a healthy learning environment, discovers and develops in their God-given gifts, that their homes are filled with peace, protection, provision and the revelation of Jesus and His presence. Pray that addictions are broken everywhere across the township, that the yokes of the enemy are removed. Pray for a revelation of the love of God that ignites thankfulness and worship in their heart, for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to be on them as well, that they have encounters with God, and that they become passionate followers of the Lord Jesus Christ!

August 25, 2012 - 1 Kings 9:3
Prayer focus for the week of 8/25/12-8/31/12
Prayer warriors rise up! 1 Kings 9:3 says:
"And the Lord said to him; "I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually." (New King James)
The Lord was talking to Solomon after he had finished building the temple.
I believe we can ask the Lord how to pray for Waterford. Sometimes you can't even pray properly for something until you pray about how to pray for it! We can seek the Lord about how to pray for Waterford and He will show us. Also I believe He will give us the desires of our heart. And when our heart is like His, we can pray and receive what we ask for because He hears the prayer of the righteous. Jesus has made us righteous and the more time we spend with Him the more like Him we will become.
As we press in, seek Him and pray for this Township, we will hear Him say, "I have heard your prayers, I have consecrated this township to put My name there forever and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually!"
Today was a time of worship and dance before the Lord. Worship and dance are such powerful forms of intercession and prayer. During this time I could see Waterford as a well of life for the Lord. A wellspring of living waters, a place for others to come draw from for a spiritual refreshing! Let Waterford be a well!
Next Saturday is School Prayer. I may fast this week, maybe Friday for this purpose.

August 18, 2012-Prayer Walk
Today's walk was in the northeast quadrant of the township. I had some children with me and we took notice of several things along the way and how God was speaking to us through those things.
First were the beautiful wildflowers that were along this path. We prayed that the beauty and uniqueness of each individual would flourish and that together all of the different types of people would create a beautiful bouquet in God's garden. As a butterfly flew by we prayed for all types, (cultures), of people to come to the Lord and be born again.
We saw the trash along the path and in the ditches and talked about and prayed for a clean heart and that the Lord would go deep into the hearts of people to clean out what needs to be removed. We also discussed how the Lord wants us to take care of ourselves, to live in health, (as one of us started sneezing from the wildflowers), and to take care of our planet and not throw trash all around.
Some people were having garage sales and this again prompted a discussion about rather than throwing things away we can recycle and possibly make money. Prayed for the provision of the people of the township. God give people ideas for money-making and let them have enough vision to know what to keep and what to throw away so homes are free from clutter and become peaceful places to live!
As we saw animals-in the river, geese, birds, we saw the uniqueness of each one and how God has given each one different ways to protect themselves. We prayed for protection for the township.
We prayed for each church that we walked by--Community Bible, Community of Christ and Faith Community. (Apparantly community was a theme also!) Prayed for the love of God to be revealed to all the people. Community of Christ had a sign that said, "Be fishers of men. You catch 'em and He'll clean them." We talked about telling others about Jesus and allowing the Lord to work in them and not to be judgmental.
We saw someone at the cemetery grieving over a grave and prayed for his comfort.
We saw several things that tried to distract us and get us off track from our prayer purpose. We talked about the distractions that come to lead us away from prayer.
We talked about the love of God and how when its in us, we will love not only people, but the animals and our environment and will have a loving and kind attitude towards all that is around us. Prayed that people would understand how much God loves them.
Prayed for God's goodness and love to be revealed to the people. Without it people cannot repent or love and worship Him in return.
Before the walk began we read a portion from Rick Joyner's book-Visions of the Harvest. He talks about seeing unity in the body of Christ over cities and spontaneous meetings and miracles that will affect entire cities!

August 11, 2012 - Awake & Aware
Prayer focus for August 11-17, 2012
God wake up your people in Waterford! Let us be aware of what is going on around us spiritually. Let's not think that life goes on "as usual." Let us expect You to show Yourself strong all around us. You already are here, all around us. Open our eyes that we may see You and all that You are doing in our midst! Let us acknowledge You and consult with You in all our ways. In every path, every direction of our lives.
Jesus said to let the children come to Him for of such are the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is made up of those who with childlike-simple, trusting-faith, seek Him out and come to Him. Be aware of those around you who are seeking Him out, maybe without even knowing it, but are looking for life and truth. Stay alert and aware when going about your daily activities. Walk in the light and be the light yourself. The move of God is not always in the noisy, hyped-up activities, but often in the quiet, simple places.
I pray for the entire family of God, throughout Waterford and beyond, that they are awake and aware of all God is doing and saying. Aware of how He wants to demonstrate His love and goodness to all people. And that they are the salt and light He has enabled us to be!

August 5, 2012 - For Freedom He has made us Free
Prayer focus for August 5-10, 2012
Galatians 5:1 tells us to stand fast in the freedom for which Christ has made us free and not to be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Paul is talking to the people about not returning to a system of religious works to try and gain right-standing with the Father but to hold on to the freedom He has given us.
I pray God's people don't slip into the deception of thinking that simple outward "acceptable" behavior means a person has had a change of heart and is right with God. It's not about outward behavior, but what's in the heart. Many are driven by guilt and regret instead of allowing the love, forgiveness and mercy of God to cleanse them from dead religious works. We can never be good or perfect enough in our behavior to deserve a place of right-standing with God. It's only by trusting in Jesus Christ and the fact that He paid the price for our sin will we ever be able to be cleansed from a consciousness of guilt. Guilt and regret will drive you and interfere with the Spirit of God being able to lead you.
Oftentimes it's religious leaders who, often unknowingly, oppress the people by portraying a distorted view of the Father. They are not preaching the good news that Jesus Christ has provided for our forgiveness. God is not holding our sin against us. (2 Corinthians 5:19). This is good news! Most likely those who try and oppress people religiously are often driven by their own frustration and disgust at their own imperfection. They are afraid to trust God and let go, allowing people to be free in Christ.
I pray for freedom for all of God's people in Waterford and the surrounding area. That we all let go of our own efforts to become righteous. That we don't oppress others by expecting certain behavior from them. But that we come to understand in a greater way the love of God, His forgiveness and mercy, and allow that to cleanse us from our distorted view of the Father.

July 29, 2012 - Gathering of the Tribes
Prayer focus for July 29-August 3, 2012
It seems that God is gathering together His people from all cultures. Not that He wants us to abandon our cultures and all become the same, but to blend them together while maintaining our diversity. To do this we first need to identify with our own ethnicity. Our uniqueness and diversity are important and not to be abandoned.
What makes a garden beautiful is to have a variety of plants. The diverse colors, styles, textures and fragrances make it unique and pleasant. One individual plant adds something vital to the garden, and each of us individually add something to God's garden as well. The same is true with a community harmonizing with neighboring communities.
I pray God's people become at peace with their ethnicity, even rediscover it. That they don't feel threatened thinking that others are trying to change them or take their identity away. That as they develop this peace they can accept others and their diversity in order to blend and harmonize into a beautiful garden for the Lord.
We can live and grow together without losing our own identity. In fact the more we become the unique person that God intended, it will make His garden all the more beautiful.

July 20, 2012 - Prayer Walk
Prayer Walk -Northwest Quadrant
Right away I felt we need to forget the petty stuff and get to the heart of God's kingdom. 100 years from now half of what we worry about today won't even matter! Whatever effort we put into building His kingdom DOES matter and it IS worth it. God sees it all and every hard choice and sacrifice you make for Him He sees!
Pray that God's people don't look at being a Christian with a sense of dread but see the joy that it is. That God's people see, feel and experience God's love. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation! Bring refreshing to Your people God! Let us not look at what we do for You as an obligation, but rather that we experience the joy of building Your kingdom together with You--the joy of partnering with You!
Pray for freedom, where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and by the anointing of the Holy Spirit every yoke is broken. Let God's people receive the healing and miracles they need and with joy and excitement proclaim His goodness to those around them.
Enjoy the Joy!

July 14, 2012 - Prayer Focus
Prayer focus for July 14-July 20, 2012
When praying for Waterford I really sought to get the mind of God for what He has in mind for this Township. We pray a lot for people to come to know Him, to overcome sin and obstacles in their life, to receive the healing and miracles that they need, to stand against the enemy and his plans, and this is all good stuff for us to pray for. But I think God wants us to look past all of that to see into the beauty and design of this area so we can build His kingdom here.
I see Waterford as a place where travelers can find rest. I see God's people here as those who are planted by the waters, whose roots go deep to receive something they can offer to those who are weary and in need of refreshing. Wells that people are able to draw from and be revived.
I also see Waterford as a place of instruction, especially for children. Where they can learn how to become a well, a tree that's planted by the waters and learn to draw deep from the Spirit of God to offer the living waters to those who need it.
For this to happen, God's people need to learn to do as David did who, 'encouraged himself in the Lord his God.' 1 Samuel 30. David was a worshiper. He knew how to draw strength from the Lord when needed. I pray that the churches in Waterford, and all of the Christians in Waterford, don't become places that give a false sense of security to people who just want to ease their conscience and not really live for the Lord, but that we all become wells of living water, trees that give shade, rest, fruit and life to those who come across our paths. That we can impart a grateful spirit in others so they will seek to thank, love and worship the Lord themselves.
Have a great week and please add any comments to this post if you have any thoughts about Waterford!

July 7, 2012 - Prayer Focus
Prayer focus for July 7-July 13, 2012
In the beginning was the Word....(John 1:1)
Everything starts with a word. Everything God does starts with a word from Him. I believe that last year, 2011, was the beginning of a new season in Waterford. A ten year season. We are still at the beginning of that season and there is a Word from God concerning this season. Even though 2 Chronicles 7:14 is a part of that I believe there is more "beginning words" God wants us to get a hold of.
The ground is being tilled, we are preparing the way for the Lord and as we walk on a new path and acknowledge Him in all we do, every day, He wants to walk with us. We need to ask for His perspective because, of course, it's so much better than ours, but He wants us to share our desires with Him as well. Yes, He already knows them but He wants us to share them with Him. That's really what prayer is isn't it? As we walk with the Lord, as we would a friend, and talk together our perspective becomes so much clearer and He, hearing our specific desires, has all of heaven's resources available to answer our prayers!
The word for today is, get the word for today. As you walk on your path today, seek Him and His perspective and share your thoughts, feelings, desires, hopes & dreams with Him as well--For your church, your family, your neighborhood, your government etc. Let Him know, and listen to Him too. One word from Him, when received and acted upon, can set things in motion that will bring your desires to pass. Even a small, seemingly insignificant word from God is full of life!
This ten year season of prayer will give us tenure in Waterford. It will give God and His people a place, a permanent place that can not be taken away. But the terms and conditions will be established during this season of prayer now. Let's not waste this season!

June 30, 2012 - Prayer Focus
Prayer focus for June 30-July 6, 2012
God, let Your people be as the strolling minstrels who declared the praises of their king! Let all of Your people in Waterford declare Your praises and goodness by their lifestyles, actions and words!
Revelation 12:11 says that they overcame the accuser by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives unto death, (they didn't compromise their faith to save their own life).
When the accuser comes to deceive Your people, trying to get them to sin, and when he comes to accuse, criticize and blame Your people, let them rise up and overcome, bringing glory to You!
Thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God through us everywhere! (2 Corinthians 2:14). This verse goes on to say that God's people are a sweet aroma of Christ. But to some it smells of death and to others it smells of life. To those who receive this fragrance of Christ it brings life and to those who reject it, it brings doom. In either case, let us smell of your fragrance. Let us declare Your praises, goodness and attributes!
Let us live each day with purpose. Let us pray for, earnestly seek, long for and expect Your presence to be evident in our lives every day. Let us not be complacent or expect today to be uneventful in You.
May we resolve to seek You early every day and receive Your guidance and direction for our daily path.
Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit---love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. This is the way You treat us! Help us to get that and to allow those attributes to flow through us towards others.
God forgive us for despising a day. Forgive us if we have dreaded a day because we expect its not going to be what we want. If we wake up in the morning dreading the fact that we have to go to work that day, or go to an appointment we are not looking forward to or doing something we don't feel like doing that day...forgive us for despising a day that You have made for us to rejoice in You in. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:24).
Waterford:
Sing the praises of the King today!
Sing the praises of the King today!
Declare His goodness and His mercy,
and His holy attributes!

June 23, 2012 - Prayer Walk
Today's prayer walk was in the southwest quadrant of the Township from the Oakland Community College entrance off Hospital Road to the Greek Jalepeno Restaurant on Cooley Lake Rd east of Hospital.
It was a beautiful day! Starting out I sensed the Lord showing that He always makes a way when there seems to be no way. He is the God of the impossible and when we think there is no way out, He opens our eyes to the path that was there all the time, (or maybe it wasn't there all the time but He just put it there and it seems like it was there all the time!) God open the eyes of the people to Your way and the path you have for them! (Think of the Red Sea!)
I also felt His abundant provision and goodness. He takes care of us and provides for us. Prayed that His goodness be released to all the people of Waterford--believers and unbelievers. His goodness leads to repentance, (Romans 2:4). It opens the hearts of the people and prepares them to receive Him. And for those who have already received Him it opens the heart to receive more of Him! Taste and see that the Lord is good! (Psalms 34:8). He really does satisfy us with good things! (Psalm 103:1-5). Once again I was reminded of Acts 15:16-17. When the tabernacle of David is rebuilt the unbelievers will seek the Lord. God's people, like John the Baptist need to declare and proclaim God's goodness to prepare the way for the Lord! (Matthew 3:1-3).
Isaiah 40:3: A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God! (Amplified Bible).
Also prayed for a tilling of the soil, the ground. That where the ground has been hard and dry it is turned to good soil that will receive the Word and produce much fruit. (Mark 4). Send your rain Lord to prepare the soil! As the people of God declare His goodness and worship and praise Him with a pure heart then the way is being made ready for the Lord to move in a mighty way in Waterford! Let's praise Him so the rocks don't need to cry out. (Luke 19:35-40). And by the way, I gathered some rocks and will write some of the awesome attributes of God on them and return them to the southwest quadrant. These rocks will declare God's goodness in that quadrant until the people do in a greater way!
When Elijah lay in the wilderness under the juniper tree, discouraged and fearful of Jezebel, the angel of the Lord came and fed him supernaturally twice. The second time he said, "Arise and eat because the journey is too great for you." And Elijah arose, ate and drank and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights and came to Horeb, the mount of God. (1 Kings 19:1-8). God will supernaturally provide for you and give you strength to carry you through even when it seems there is no strength or provision around you. It doesn't matter what's going on, God is sure to take care of you!
Lastly, the uniqueness of each individual in Waterford is very beautiful and God desires for each one to pursue the path He has for them, there is no need to copy others or to mimic what others are doing. Tap into the creativity with you, put there by the Lord and you will add to the beauty and uniqueness of this Township.
Written on the seven stones:
He is a God of:
Possibility, Provision, Refreshing, Strength, Beauty.
God is good!
Praise Him!

Prayer Focus for June 16-22, 2012
Worship!
Under David's reign they worshiped the Lord non stop for 24 hours a day for 33 years.
The Tabernacle of David- and the Lord says He will rebuild it.
Acts 15:
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
The Lord is bringing back a davidic worship that will bring unbelievers to Him. Worship creates an atmosphere that brings the presence of the Lord. They go hand in hand-worship/His presence. His presence brings a revelation of His goodness, which will lead people to repentance. It bring His love which will lead people to thank Him and love Him and worship Him more.
Prayed for the worshipers to be released in Waterford Township. That the psalmists, minstrels, dancers and singers rise up and worship the Lord with a fresh anointing, a fresh passion for Him. That their worship creates a habitat for the Lord. That there be dancing and joy in the streets over the goodness and presence of God. That there are sudden "breakouts" of awareness of God's goodness and glory throughout the township, causing people to stop where they are and fear Him and love Him as never before.
Prayed that the worship teams receive the words, the songs, the notes and chords that will bring God's presence into their church and do battle against the plans of the enemy that are against their specific church. That the people of the churches respond in worship and adoration for the Lord like never before.
Prayed that there be no more competition between the pastors and worship leaders. That they work together in true harmony and unity to each take their place to accomplish what the Lord desires in each church!

Prayed for the safety and protection of the township. Especially for the kids this summer that their excitement over the summer doesn't lead to irresponsibility. That they're not driven and hyper, but peaceful and joyful. That they follow their heart and their conscience and not the hype of the crowd.
Prayed for a wave of deliverance for those who are addicted and excessive. Whether its a substance, alcohol, food, gambling, spending, hoarding or whatever. Let them see the deception and destruction it is causing. Prayed that they would seek help, truth, life and deliverance. If they seek they will find, (Matthew 7:7). Prayed that they would have hope and see that they can have freedom in their life.
Prayed for the churches that they would take notice and be able to recognize those who need help. That they would bring deliverance from addiction and excesses to the people who need help. That the churches would be equipped to bring true help and deliverance to people.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.(2 Corinthians 317). Blow, Holy Spirit, across Waterford and bring freedom to all the people!

Prayer for the churches of Waterford!
In 2 Chronicles 7:14 where it says, "If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land." This was spoken by the Lord to Solomon after Solomon built the temple and then dedicated it to the Lord. After Solomon's prayer of dedication the glory of God filled the house. They had an awesome time of worship and offered sacrifices to the Lord.
My prayer is that the churches of Waterford become a place where the Lord dwells, both individually in people's hearts and corporately in their churches. That these places are dedicated to Him, committed to Him, worship Him and that His glory fills the house and fills their hearts! God, let our hearts, our homes, our churches and our township be places dedicated to You, to house Your presence.
I pray that the churches focus on how to please the Father, not so much on pleasing the people. What does He want in His house? Where there was selfishness, let there be love. Where there was darkness, let there be light. Where there was bondage, let there be freedom. Where there was despair, let there be hope. Where there was error, let there be truth.
I pray for the people to see how much God loves them. That their eyes are opened to it, to the point where it overwhelms them with love, gratitude, thanksgiving and worship to Him in return. I pray for God's life, love, peace, truth, glory and His presence to fill His houses of worship.
The Word of God does not return void. Pray for a revelation of Jesus Christ and a resurrection of the Word of God in all the churches of Waterford.
Also, I pray for the protection of Waterford. For those who would plan crimes or begin to impulsively commit crimes, that they lose their energy and motivation and their ideas dissolve and come to nothing.

May 26, 2012 - Prayer Walk
Today's prayer walk was in the southeast quadrant of the Township from Cass Lake Rd/Cass Elizabeth Rd to Tim Horton's at M59 and Cass Lake Rd.
Starting out I felt like there was a line of angels following me! The timing was perfect, between rain showers.
2 Chronicles 7:14: If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. (Amplified Bible). Started out praying for the healing of the land, of Waterford Township.
As I was praying for all people of the township-young old etc- to have dreams, visions, divine encounters and godly coincidences I realized I was praying as the prophet Joel prophesied. "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall propesy:" (Acts 2:17-18).
Prayed that God's presence would cover the township so everyone would feel it-believers and unbelievers, young and old. That the churches would be filled with His presence, but not just the churches, the whole township.
Jesus said in John 12:32 that if He be lifted up from the earth He would draw all men to Him. He was talking about how He would die, but as we continue to "lift Him up" today, preaching the gospel and honoring and exalting Him in our lives, people will continue to be drawn to Him. Prayed that the God's people would do this.
1 Kings 18:21: "Elijah came near to all the people and said, How long will you halt and limp between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him! But if Baal, then follow him...." Prayed that God's people would not be divided in their hearts but would have a pure, focused and committed heart that follows the Lord. That no longer will God's people compromise their faith in God.
The faith in Waterford now may seem small like a mustard seed, but my prayer is that Waterford at its core become like that mustard seed planted that grows into an unshakeable and unmoveable tree. (Mark 4:30-32).
Will continue praying these Scriptures throughout the week, remembering that God's Word does not return to Him void, but accomplishes what He sent it to do!

Prayer focus for May 19-25th
Pray for people to have a true change of heart, not just a change of behavior. Although we want lawlessness stopped, we want it to be because people have had a heart change. When people are in love with the Lord, they will want to follow His ways. Not a behavior change due to fear of consequence, but love for God! Outward appearances do not necessarily reflect what's in the heart.
Pray for the people of the churches of Waterford to be good ground for the Word of God. That they hear it, welcome it and bear fruit. Mark 4:20.
Pray that the Christians of Waterford have a revelation of God's love for them, and that they respond in love and worship to Him, opening their hearts fully to Him.

- That satan is prohibited from stealing the Word that is sown in their hearts. That people value the Word of God and give it priority in their life. They hear it and pay attention and don't forget it or blow it off. (seed sown by the wayside).
- That people are willing to change or sacrifice if necessary, making room in their heart, allowing the roots of the Word of God to run deep. That when faced with a choice, they choose the path of the Word, even if it is the more difficult choice. (seed sown on stony ground).
- That people willingly give up those things that would distract them from God's Word, keeping them from bearing fruit. (seed sown among thorns).
Pray that the Christians of Waterford have a revelation of God's love for them, and that they respond in love and worship to Him, opening their hearts fully to Him.

Lord we pray your glory rest upon Waterford Township. We pray that You confuse and confound the plans of the enemy that would keep this from happening and that would keep people from the freedom and joy that you want them to have.
Lord, rearrange what You need to and move out the things that need to be moved out of our lives in order for this to happen. We want to be filled with Your glory!
God, we proclaim that You are:
Confounding and moving out the enemy,
Making room for Your Holy Glory!
David said concerning his enemies:
"The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice. He sent out arrows and scattered them; lightning confused and troubled them."
2 Samuel 22:14-15
Have Your way in our lives. Let Your kingdom come, Your will be done, in Waterford as it is in Heaven!
We thank You Lord, and fill our hearts with gratitude for what You are doing!

I felt such a sense of "honoring God" today. My prayer was that the people of Waterford would come to a place where they desire to honor God in all that they do. The residents, businesses, churches and even the government consider and honor God in everything. Biblical principles are the only guideline for living that really works in a society. We can't have laws that cover everything and make everything fair for everyone. But God's laws make it all work. Hearts need to be changed so they will see the wisdom of this and desire to live this way.
Pray that any obstacles to the love of God being poured out into the hearts of the people be removed. That the hearts, minds, eyes and ears of the people be open and receptive to God's love. We love Him because He first loved us, 1 John 4:19. Pray that the love of God melt away the hardness of hearts that would not give entrance to His love.
Pray that the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ shine into the hearts of the people. That there be a revelation of Jesus Christ to all the people. That people see the truth and it makes them free. Pray for the Word of God to be revived and Jesus to be resurrected in the lives of the people of Waterford. That their hearts are good soil for the Word of God, making room for Him. Pray that the Word brings life, health, healing, peace, salvation deliverance and all the fullness of God to the people. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, John 8:32, Mark 4:20.
The Bible tells us that God's Word doesn't return to Him void but accomplishes what it was sent to do. Isaiah 55:11. I felt very strongly that we need to pray and declare the Word of God over the Township because it will accomplish what God intends when we do that. So every week there will be Scripture that we can speak and pray over the Township several times throughout the week, believing that God will accomplish His purposes through that. This week two Scriptures came to me:
We, the people of Waterford overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony and by not loving our own lives more than You.

- If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.
- And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11
We, the people of Waterford overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony and by not loving our own lives more than You.

April 20, 2012 - Prayer Focus
Prayer focus for April 20 to April 27, 2012
Northeast Quadrant
Adams Elementary
Shekinah Temple Assembly of God
New Beginning Baptist Church
This week I am putting the prayer focus up a day early since I will be unavailable to do it on Saturday.
Over the past several months a lot of the prayer focus has been on the government, elections, kids and schools and most recently the churches and God's people. All of these areas are important and need to be kept in prayer but I feel we are going to be praying for the churches in Waterford a lot over the next few months. And I believe there will be some prayer walks this summer--an opportunity to get out on the street and pray.
Pray for the churches. The names of the churches we are praying for this week speak to us--Let the Shekinah Glory fall and a New Beginning begin! Pray for every yoke of bondage to be removed from pastors and church leaders, from the congregations and from the Christians in the township who are not going to a church. Pray for the churches to become a place of refuge where people can find freedom, deliverance and victory in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray that anything and everything that would bring people in bondage, from demonic deceptions to religious spirits and any other obstacles that would prevent people from seeing the truth, are removed from our churches so people can see the truth and be set free. Pray that the churches are free for God's glory and deliverance to be there.
Pray for revival for all the churches. That revival comes to the township of Waterford and not just to one church. As awesome as that is when revival hits a church, pray for it to hit the entire township and all the churches. That the heart of the people turn towards the Lord bringing the grace of His presence into our midst.
When the ark of the Lord, which carried God's presence, was in the house of Obed-edom for three months before being brought to the city of David, the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household. (2 Samuel 6:11). When God's presence is here with us, it will bring great blessing to us. Let us humble ourselves before God, honoring His presence, asking Him to show us how we can host His presence among us, giving Him the honor due to Him.

Pray for the Christians of the Township to take the time to pray and spend time with the Lord. We read in Acts 4:13 that it became evident, even to the adversaries of Peter and John, that they had been with Jesus. People could tell that they had spent time with Him. Pray for God's people to respond to God's drawing them into time with Him. And as we soak in His presence that we carry the fragrance of Christ with us. (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Pray that the Christians seek for truth and purity of heart and motives so that as we go about our daily lives we don't try and just convince people to come to the Lord, but we carry a true presence of the Spirit of God that will touch their hearts in a way we never could with the wisdom of our own words. (1 Corinthians 2:4). And that the same is true of what is being taught in the churches, that it's not just convincing words that reach people mentally, but that the ministers are touching the heart of God, presenting His Word in the power of the Holy Spirit that will save, heal and set people free. That the Word of God is spoken in truth, and not out of impure motives. (1 Kings 17:24).
Pray that an army of believers rise up in Waterford filling the township with the presence of God, for His glory and for the salvation of the people in this township!
Also pray for wisdom for the Township Board to find ways to save money that they have not thought of before.

Prayer Focus - April 7, 2012
Prayer focus of April 7 - April 13, 2012
Rather than focusing on a quadrant, school and churches this would be a good week to reflect on the Lord and express gratitude in what He's done for us.
Several years ago I came back to the Lord after a period of backsliding/wandering. I sat at my kitchen table and decided to re-commit my life back to Him. I wasn't sure what to say and thought it would have to be a long, hard prayer for some reason. But I finally just said a simple, yet sincere, prayer expressing my desire to get right with Him and wanting Jesus back in my life. It seemed as if God instantly was there loving me and forgiving me! I opened my (dusty) Bible to Hebrews 12:6-11. That was just where it fell open, I didn't even know what to read. That Scripture has to do with the Lord chastening those He loves so we can grow the peaceable fruit of righteousness once again. That Scripture breathed life into me. Then I heard these words, "Bow before Me." It scared me at first. I felt like a kid going to face punishment from a parent.
But I went into a bedroom, knelt down and put my face on the floor. As soon as I closed my eys I saw Jesus stand up from His throne at the right hand of the Father. He came and stood in front of me. I could see the whole picture even though I still had my face to the floor. He stood over me and began doing something, moving His hands. I wasn't sure what it was at first and then I realized He was washing me with His blood. He was cleansing me of my sin! I was so humbled by the fact that Jesus had to get up off His throne next to the Father to deal with my sin, to wash me in His blood. And there wasn't anything I could do to repay Him or help Him. I just had to stay there and let Him do this for me. I felt so bad for making Him do this. Then, I realized something even more humbling. He had to turn His back to the Father in order to wash me of my sin. He physically stood between me and the Father, His back to Him. And I knew somehow that it grieved Him to turn HIs back on the Father, even for a moment. But He didn't have an attitude. He wasn't mad at me. He loved me. But the love between Him and the Father was so great. I felt so bad and so sorry for Him having to do this for me.
But by the time He was done not only was my sin washed away, but so was the guilt and the shame and I was left with nothing but a great love for Him and the Father. I now shared in that same love they had. My sin, guilt and shame gone!
Thank you Jesus, so much!

"The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" Rev 11:15
Pray that the people of Waterford lay aside the things of this world and draw close to God. That the ears are unstopped, the eyes unblinded and scales fall off of hearts so people will see truth and desire to draw close to God.
Pray that the love of God fill the homes. That selfishness be put away and as Paul said, "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself." Philippians 2:3.
Pray that domestic abuse be stopped as the love of God fills the homes.
Jesus said in the end that because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12). Pray that the hearts of people turn against all sin, selfishness and lawlessness and that the love of God grows in people's hearts filling their homes.
Pray that people become passionate for Christ and pursue holiness and righteousness. Pray that the passion of Christ is released into Waterford. Into the homes, churches, schools, businesses etc.
Pray for protection for the township. In the schools, businesses, churches, homes, the airport. That we be kept under the shadow of His wings.
Pray that spirits of alcoholism, addiction and gluttony be removed and replaced with a passion and craving for Jesus Christ.
Pray for the revelation of Jesus Christ at Waterford Kettering High School. That the presence of God fill the school, His love filling each classroom and hallway, and for a revival to break loose in the school. For the hearts of the kids to turn towards Jesus, and the teachers and staff as well.
Congratulations Grace Chapel on your new building! Pray that their Easter Service goes well with many people in attendance and the Spirit of God to fall and fill the place with His love and deliverance.

The Bible tells us that if we acknowledge God in all our ways that He will direct our paths. Proverbs 3:6.
Pray that the Township residents as well as those in leadership positions over the Township recognize God and acknowledge Him in everything they do and the decisions they make.
Pray that the things that would distract people from hearing God are removed and that people recognize God and listen to Him. That priorities become re-aligned and the insignificant things in our lives that we think are so important, but aren't, just fall away and those things that are really important and valueable come to our attention. Pray that we learn to lay aside the things that get us off balance--the weights and that sin that will imbalance a person's life. Hebrews 12:1.
Pray that people see that certain relationships, experiences and acquiring more stuff are not things that will satisy. That eyes are opened to see what truly brings peace and joy into a person's life. That instead of busying their lives looking for satisfaction, they find the peace that only comes through Jesus Christ.
Jesus said that those who will feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the poor and visit the sick and prisoners are doing it as unto Him. Matthew 25. Pray that we don't forget these things that are so important. Pray that His people do what He says and carry His fragrance wherever they go. 2 Corinthians 2:14.
Pray that the people's hearts become as His, that we value what He values and acknowledge Him in every decision.

Two words came to mind while praying today:
Seasons: Pray that as the seasons change and people re-evaluate their schedules that they have an inward reflection time as well and their hearts turn towards the Lord. That their plans include Him, take Him into consideration and even that people seek God and inquire of Him what their plans should be.
Momentum: As momentum builds for the elections pray that people don't listen to the hype surrounding the elections but rather we look for the slow and steady thing that God is building. If we jump on the fast-moving train that builds speed too fast then we will eventually crash with force. But the thing that God builds will stand. Listen and look for what is of Him and not at what seems so good just for the moment.
While praying for Schoolcraft Elementary I really got the sense that other(s) have been praying for this school as well. Add to those prayers peace, blessing and safety for the school, kids, families, teachers and staff.
Pray for the churches that they have financial growth. That the finances are consistent and steady. As the people cry out to God He will meet them. As they minister to the Lord in their services God's presence will come and will deliver them from troubles. God will show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect towards Him.
Pray for the airport and the air traffic controllers. They they have good working conditions. The same for the Police/Fire Department dispatchers also.
When we seek God's will then He can freely move among us. When we try and use Him as power for our own plans then we create a tangled web that He cannot move freely through.
Let all of Waterford pause and take a moment to reflect on God!

Pray for the finances of the township residents. That people learn to live within their means but also that their debt is reduced and income increased in those areas that need to be.
Pray for God's favor and blessing on the township. That the heart of the people turn towards the Lord in righteousness and holiness. That Waterford truly be a godly community where God's people can live and raise families in peace.

Pray for the president--the current one and the one elected in November. That the office of the presidency is not surrounded with deception, distraction or confusion but instead filled with wisdom and clarity. That the president's heart turn to the Lord and surrender to doing the will of God. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." (NKJ). Prayer is never meant to be done as just an obligation or a ritual. Pray that all Christians throughout the township and those in governmental and educational positions affecting Waterford township, seek Him and tune in to Him, listening and following Him in all they do.
