We've Won the War

As I went for a walk early this morning, enjoying the sound of all the neighborhood critters waking up and singing their songs, I noticed a small American flag someone had put on the back side of a yield sign. I didn't think too much about it at first, but the Lord kept calling my attention to it. So as I looked at it further, I thought it looked like something a person would do who just went through a battle, and came out victoriously. A stake on the neighborhood, laying claim to it as a part of the United States of America. I heard the words, "We won the war."

We have been in a war. Not a physical war, but a war for the soul of our country. The enemy has been subtly taking ground, not by conquering territory, but minds. In large part through public education and media, battles were fought, and won, without much of a notice by patriots or the church until suddenly it seemed as if we'd lost the heart of America.

But now, we want our country back. We may not be the loudest, but we're the strongest. If we've won the war, or have even just crossed the tipping point, then that means we need to think about rebuilding. Whatever has been destroyed, needs to be restored. Whatever has been lost, needs to be recovered. The target has been the heart and soul of our young people, and that is what we need to tenaciously go after until we win that ground back, and rebuild.

What does this rebuilding look like? Every member of the body of Christ needs to look at their children and their grandchildren. What has this war done to them? To what extent has the enemy gained a foothold in their lives? How much damage has been done to their foundation of truth? What is left that can be restored? What were the weapons used by the enemy? And then, pray. Pray as one who has been give authority over "all the power of the enemy." Pray and "believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." Speak the Word of God over your children and grandchildren. Pray until Christ is formed in them. Pray that the weapons that were used by the enemy are confiscated and used by God and His people for good, not evil anymore.

Father God, show us how to rebuild--our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, states and country. We proclaim, as Your Word says, "Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears; for your work will be rewarded," declares the Lord, "And they will return from the land of the enemy. There is hope for your future," declares the Lord, "And your children will return to their own territory."

The Opening of the Books

After John ate the book which was open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and the land, he was told to prophesy concerning many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings. This angel had brought the open book down out of heaven. (Revelation 10). Ezekiel also ate a scroll, and afterwards he was told to go the house of Israel and speak God's words to them. (Ezekiel 3:1-3). There are books in heaven which contain the destinies of people and nations. From these books, the purposes of God can be prophesied, causing them to happen.

"Lord, I ask for the books that are in heaven which record Your purposes for Waterford be opened. I (and anyone who prays this prayer from the heart) make myself available to receive Your words and Your will for Waterford. I want to know what was on Your mind as this parcel of land was being created. What did You envision? What was (and is) in Your heart concerning this land? What have You written down and decreed for Waterford--the people and the land?"

I've felt for many years now that Waterford is to be a place of hospitality. A place of refreshing where people travelling through can receive rest and encouragement--spiritually as well as physically and mentally. Recently I've seen His desire for unique businesses to rise. Businesses that meet basic, common needs in a creative and refreshing way. Yet it will remain primarily a place for families, with education and government supporting strong, godly families. These strong families will be the reason for strong churches in the region.

The Sound of Liberty

I'm ending this three year period of "re-prayers" with a re-posting of the last blog to be re-prayed. It is still quite timely for today. The sound of TRUTH is the sound of freedom. Let truth ring in America!

May 1, 2014-National Day of Prayer: The Sound of Liberty

The Liberty Bell

May 1st was the National Day of Prayer. As I prayed for the United States, I found myself praying that God's full and true purpose for which the USA has been established be revealed. By the revealing of it we will be able to get in on it. Daniel sought the Lord after he read in the prophecies regarding what His plan for Israel was in setting them free after seventy years of exile. (Daniel 9). Just as Daniel had been searching the prophecies, there has been a fresh desire rise in the hearts of the Christians in America to return to the purposes for which this country was established. We've been uncovering a lot regarding God's plans and the place of Christianity in our foundation.

Once Daniel found God's plan he sought the Lord in prayer, fasting and repentance. He petitioned the Lord for forgiveness, to fulfill the prophecy and return His people to their land. We too, as Christians have been praying and seeking the Lord. After Daniels prayers the angel Gabriel came to bring understanding. He brought great insight into God's timeline. I believe we need to be open for God to show us His full and true purpose for the United States of America. I believe we need to look upwards and receive His enlightenment as to what His purposes are for us. As we see His plans, we will be able to take our part in those plans. Yes we must search the Scriptures and the historical documents, yes we must pray and seek the Lord with humility and ask Him to fulfill His plans, but we must also open our eyes and see the answer when He brings it to us so we can take our place and do our part!

I pray that our foundation be even stronger than it was in the beginning so we will fulfill God's purposes for establishing the United States. Two thoughts that came to my mind as I prayed on May 1st were the Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty. God established this country as a free country, however we know that true freedom comes only from the Spirit of the Lord. We might be independent, especially from oppressive religion, however we must never be independent from the Spirit of God which brings true liberty.

The crack in the foundation of America's liberty will be restored when we discover our true and full purpose!

The original Liberty Bell, (wasn't called the liberty bell originally), was inscribed with Leviticus 25:10:

"Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof. Lev. XXV X"

Leviticus 25:10 You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family. (NASB)

The Liberty Bell has had troubles from the start. It was recast twice. It had cracking problems from the beginning and people didn't like the sound of the bell. Some people who lived in the vicinity of the bell became annoyed with the sound of it. Eventually it suffered a fatal crack on February 26, 1846 on George Washington's birthday.Do we agree with the sound of liberty? Do we try and make it sound pleasing to us instead of accepting it for what it really is? Does the sound of true liberty annoy us? Today, because of its condition, the Liberty Bell is gently tapped on certain occasions and not rung. I pray that as our true and full purpose is revealed and embraced by God's people that the sound of liberty is carried throughout the land by the Spirit of the Lord. Proclaim liberty throughout all the land!

2 Corinthians 3:17:
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The Ekklesia, Priests, Ambassadors & Prophets Arise

Father God, we repent on behalf of those in Waterford who are disobedient to You and Your commands. All those in family, business, government, the schools, parks etc. We ask for Your mercy and grace, and for the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin. Forgive us, Your church, for tolerating Jezebel or any evil spirits that are contrary to You and Your ways. Let Your church rise up as examples of You. Let us rise up as the healers and those who bring reconciliation with You. Let the prophets arise and speak Your anointed words--seed-words of destiny. Let us be hospitable to all, and judge all things by Your Spirit, speaking the truth in love.

Where there were thieves, let there be hard workers
Where there was welfare, let there be entrepreneurs
Where there was irresponsibility, let there be responsibility
Where there was violence, let there be self-control
Where there was laziness, let there be giving
Where there was a party spirit, let there be holiness
Where there were missing parents, let there be whole families
Where there was envy, greed, and selfishness, let there be giving, contentment, and love

We, the church will be the ekklesia that we are called to be, taking authority over the enemy
We will be the priests we are called to be in intercession and standing in the gap for the lost & hurting
We will be Your ambassadors united the hearts of God and man
We will be Your prophets speaking transforming words of destiny and life

Fill Every Space

May the true, living church in Waterford be influential in every area of the township--every people group--whether political, educational, spiritual, family, fun or business. Fill every open space Lord, every atom, with Your life, Your truth, Your Spirit, and Your love.

Fill the young minds and hearts with Your truth. Pout out Your Spirit on them. There is room for You! Plenty of room! Plenty of space in Waterford, for You. Fill it Lord!

Open our eyes so we see what is right before us--what You are doing. Let us see from Your perspective. Let us see the path we are on, and where we should be. Help us learn to walk in the joy of family relationships.

Let the instruction of the parents be designed to perpetuate the Gospel for generations to come. Let there be a new heart in Waterford. A new purpose and vision that aligns completely with Your purpose and vision for us. Let Your heart-blood flow to every part of the people, bringing Your life. We will respond to You!

Reveal Yourself

"No one knows who the Son is except the Father
and who the Father is except the Son,
and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him."
Luke 10:22

Lord Jesus, reveal the Father to those whom You desire. Reveal Yourself to those whose hearts are ready for You, and who will honor You. Place them in strategic positions of influence and decision making. In positions that will establish laws and policies in our communities and culture that honor You and allow freedom to live in Your ways. Place them in our schools, churches, homes and government. In the media, the arts, science and business.

You are our King. Build Your kingdom. Let these ones have wisdom to see where each path will take them, and those they are leading. Let the righteous arise and take their place in You and in the earth. God, move in our schools. Remove the wicked influence from our children and youth. Remove the governmental control and indoctrination over our children.

Revealing and Releasing His Purpose

Father God, I pray for a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ to occur by the Spirit of God--a revealing of Your purpose in the sons and daughters of God.

A revealing of Your vision and purpose for us individually, as families, as a community, and as a nation.

I pray that Your children are confident in their purpose in You, and release Your purposes in the earth--breaking shackles of bondage and bringing freedom to those bound by fear and other vices--releasing a revelation of Your worthiness, resulting in praise and honor and glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our God, and of His Christ.
