Prayer, Exhortation, & Decree for the Youth

Here is a sample intercessory prayer which you can use to stand in the gap for the youth in your city, county, state etc. Adapt it to fit your community and as the Holy Spirit leads.

On behalf of all the young people in Waterford and Michigan I offer the following prayers, exhortations, pledges, and decree.

Prayer: Lord, I pray the young people of Waterford and Michigan come to Christ and become an example of a true believer in Christ Jesus, as revealed in their speech, their conduct, their love, their faith and their purity. Let them gather together to read Scripture and listen to exhortation and teaching. (1 Timothy 4:12-13). Let the Jacob Generation arise—those who seek Your face, have clean hands and pure hearts. Let Your Crusaders arise as prophets in their own homes. Let them develop passionate love for You, unshakeable faith, great discernment, a hunger and thirst for righteousness and truth, with the fruit of the Spirit, as well as the courage and power of God, to overcome all the enemy throws at them.

Let none hinder the children, youth, or anyone from coming to Jesus. I rebuke any and all barriers that would hinder these ones from coming to the Lord. Whether it’s a religious spirit, satanic barriers or distractions, demonic influence from family, teachers, friends or others. Let all barriers keeping the young ones and others from Jesus be brought down now in Jesus’ name. (Matthew 19:14). Let them remain safe from all evil influences spirit, soul, and body, in Jesus Name.

Pray more as the Lord leads…

Exhortation to the people: Young people of Waterford and Michigan, come to Jesus! He is waiting for you with open arms. He wants to bless you (Mark 10:13-16). Let Him love you. Let Him reveal Himself to you. Come to Him. Listen to His heart. Listen to what He says (John 14:21). He will lead you to the Father—the Father of life, love, and truth. Jesus is the way, the only way. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Come to Him, learn of Him and enter into His rest (Matthew 11:28-30).

People of Waterford and Michigan, do not stand in the way of the young ones coming to the Lord. Instead, encourage them, pray for them, make way for them to come to Jesus. Don’t look down on them. Don’t belittle them. Don’t speak against them. Pray, intercede, and love them into the kingdom of God. Come into the kingdom of God yourself. Continue to pray for them after they come to know the Lord. (Luke 17:2, Galatians 4:19, Colossians 1:9-12).

Exhort more as the Lord leads…

On behalf of all the people of Waterford and Michigan I give the following pledge: I humble myself and come before the Lord like a child to enter into His kingdom (Matthew 18:2-4). I will not stand in the way of anyone coming to Jesus and will not intentionally cause them to stumble (Matthew 18:6). I will love them and pray for them to come to Jesus and grow in the faith. I will nurture in the faith whoever the Lord sends to me for that purpose, with the love, mercy, and grace of God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Pledge more as the Lord leads…

Decree: The young people of Waterford and Michigan are coming to Jesus! People of all ages are coming to Jesus! It’s a multi-generational revival! All our children are taught by the Lord and have great peace. (Isaiah 54:13). The Lord will save our children. (Isaiah 49:25). The Lord is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh and our sons and daughters shall prophesy. The old have dreams, the young see visions (Joel 2:28). The descendants of those who fear the Lord will be mighty on the earth. The generation of the upright is blessed. (Psalm 112:1-2) The Jacob generation is emerging in Waterford and throughout Michigan—the generation who seeks the face of God. The generation with clean hands and pure hearts (Psalm 24:6). All families of the nations shall worship Him. They shall tell of the Lord to the next generation and declare His righteousness to a people yet to be born (Psalm 22:27-31).

Prayer, Exhortation, & Decree for Christians

Here is a sample intercessory prayer which you can use to stand in the gap for the believers in Christ that are in your city, county, state etc. Adapt it to fit your community and as the Holy Spirit leads.

On behalf of all Christians who live, work, or have a connection to Waterford and Michigan I offer the following prayers, exhortations, pledges, and decree.

Prayer: Lord, You have sent Your Son on our behalf. Reveal and revive the reality of this truth and the depth of it to each one of us, so we will not turn our back on You, so we respond to Your love and sacrifice for us. Revive us and we will call upon Your Name. O Lord God of hosts, restore us, cause Your face to shine upon us and we will be saved. (Psalm 80:18-19). Pour out Your Spirit afresh upon us (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:39).

Pour out a desire for revival upon us. We cry out for revival, in our own heart first but also in our homes, families, churches, community, and all young people. Revive us first, and we will call upon Your Name. Revive us so we will shine with Your light, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 5:16, Acts 4:29-31).

Lord, don’t give us over to the stubbornness of our own heart. We will listen to You and walk in Your ways. We will listen to Your voice and obey You, forsaking all false idols and gods, and anything that would stand in the way between us. (Psalm 81:9-12). Search us, search our hearts, and our thoughts. Reveal any harmful or wicked way in us. Lead us in Your way, and we will follow (Psalm 139:23-24). Admonish us and show us what stands between You and us. We repent of any and all pride, selfishness, and sin. We denounce all spirits of religion, antichrist, witchcraft and any other demonic spirits. We reject anything that comes between You and us. You alone are our God.

Exhortation to the people: Oh people of God, listen to Him. Walk in His ways and He will quickly subdue your enemies and turn His hand against your adversaries (Psalm 81:13-14). Believers in Christ and seekers of truth, respond to God’s call to listen to Him and walk in His ways! Turn your heart back to your first love (Revelation 2:4). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, and your household—your families, your children. (Acts 16:31).

Exhort more as the Lord leads…

On behalf of all believers in Jesus Christ in Waterford and Michigan I give the following pledge. Holy Father, as a believer in Christ Jesus, I come out from among the world and separate myself to You. I will not touch what is unclean, and You welcome me, and all those who do the same. You are Father to me, and I am your son/daughter. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18).

I will love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:29-30). I will obey Your commandment to love one another even as You have loved me. (John 13:34), and I will love my neighbor as myself (Mark 12:31) without showing partiality or favoritism. I will love my brothers and sisters in Christ as You have loved me (John 13:34). I offer my works to You, as well as my faith (James 2), and wash my robes in the blood of the Lamb, making them white (Rev 7:14, Rev.19:7, Rev. 3:4-5).

Decree: Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. We are a fragrance of Christ to God among both the saved and perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:14-15). Our lights and works are shining to glorify God (Matthew 5:16). God’s people are returning to Him! The prodigals are coming home!

Here is a sample intercessory prayer which you can use to stand in the gap for the families in your city, county, state etc. Adapt it to fit your community and as the Holy Spirit leads.

On behalf of all families in Waterford and Michigan I offer the following prayers, exhortations, pledges, decree and blessing.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that the families of Waterford and the State of Michigan worship You. That they tell of You to the next generation and declare Your righteousness to a people yet to be born (Psalm 22:27-31). I pray for individual family members to come to Christ and for them to join together as a family to worship, pray, and read Your Word to establish family altars. I pray for those with no natural family to connect with their spiritual family. I pray for those believers who have unsaved family members. I thank You that as they believe in You, they will be saved as well as their households (Acts 16:31). Holy Father, I ask that You draw their family members to Jesus (John 6:44) and orchestrate their salvation. Let the blinders be removed from their minds and the strongholds of thought that oppose Christ be torn down, with every thought being brought into agreement with Christ, in Jesus’ Name (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

I pray for Your people, believers in Christ, to know and understand the authority You’ve given them as a family unit (Genesis 1:26-28) and resist all attempts of the enemy to destroy their homes and relationships, with both You and each other (James 4:7). I pray You draw Your prodigals back to You, that they come to their senses, repent, and return willing to serve and honor You (Luke 15:17-19). I pray that those who have grown lukewarm return to their first love (Revelation 2:4). Lord, heal their backslidings and love them freely (Hosea 14:4). Revive us and we will call upon Your Name (Psalm 80:18).

Exhortation to the people: People of God, return to the Lord. Take words with you and return to the Lord your God (Hosea 14:2). Respond to Him and His drawing. Pray for your families. Establish family altars. Talk to each other, come to know and love each other by the Spirit of God. Let the Word of God come alive in you and in your homes. Exalt Jesus. Teach His Word and His ways to your children. Talk about Him, learn His ways, worship Him, and pray. For you who don’t know the Lord, respond to His call and drawing upon your heart. Come to Him, all you who are weary, and He will give you rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29).

Exhort more as the Lord leads…

On behalf of all believers in Jesus Christ in Waterford and Michigan I give the following pledge: I will worship the Lord, study His Word, abide in Him and pray. I will welcome His presence into my heart and home. I will turn away from all evil and remove it from my life and home. I will keep God's Word and walk in His ways. I will pray for, and with, my family, loving them, getting to know them, as we establish a family altar.

Decree: Family altars are alive in Waterford and throughout Michigan, and more are reviving! God, send Your fire onto the altars! The families of God are reflecting Jesus Christ and shining His light into Waterford, Michigan, and beyond. I bind the enemy, satan and his demons, from interfering with the plans of God for the families in this community and state. I declare that any and all plans and schemes of the enemy over Waterford and Michigan are null and void in Jesus’ Name.

Decree more as the Lord leads…

Blessing: I bless the families of Waterford and Michigan with peace, joy, godly fellowship, and friendships with godly families. I bless them with protection, provision, abundance, healing, restoration of relationships, forgiveness, consecration to the Lord, and obedience to Christ. I bless them with freedom from all sin, addictions, deception, demonic influence and curses. I bless them with wisdom and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.
