Real Reviving

A religious spirit is not welcomed or allowed in Waterford. We shall not have a form of godliness without the power of God. The religious spirits that seek to oppress the young of our community, stifling their creativity and spiritual growth, demanding behavioral perfection, leading to a party spirit, rebellion and addiction, shall not prevail in Waterford. We oppose the lawlessness and psychic attraction that this would bring. We oppose the sympathy and compromise towards sin that this would bring.

Father God, pour out a fresh wave of Your Spirit on Waterford--upon the young and the old, the male and female, the rich and the poor, the religious and the righteous. Let freedom and creativity flourish. Let the apostolic ministry arise and create a safe atmosphere that welcomes creativity. Let the borders be strong, and the gardens flourish. We don't want perfection--fake plants that never grow, that are chemically preserved or artificial and plastic. We want creativity and growth, even if we must weed and be pruned. We want life!

Lord, we repent of religion, and come to You for relationship. We repent of rebellion and surrender to You by choice. We rise up courageously, trusting our lives to You. We'll not react to the spiritual oppression that has occurred towards us, towards this community, in a way that is contrary to Your Spirit. But we yield to You, embrace Your ways and cultivate the character of Your Holy Spirit in our lives.

Let the apostolic arise, let the prophetic arise, let the five-fold ministry gifts arise and work together in harmony, equipping and uniting the body of Christ. We turn from hypocrisy, from the form of godliness without the true. We turn from hypnotic influences which would lull us into sleep and dull our senses. We prophesy to the land of Waterford and say, 'your waters shall bring refreshing to many. The weary, the tired, the rejected and despised shall be renewed with new strength. Be free, be creative, be pure and be real.' Send Your refreshing rains upon this land, O Lord--renew, restore, refresh and revive!
